The Shire of Ashburton currently holds a Development Lease under the Land Administration Act 1997 over 4.9 hectares of land zoned for Light Industry in Boonderoo Road, Tom Price. The land can be developed when there is sufficient demand.
During my recent visit to Tom Price, the Shire of Ashburton provided me with a tour of the townsite, and proudly demonstrated the land developments they are undertaking and expressed no desire for any assistance with the release of light industrial land.
LandCorp's Pilbara Regional Manager has been in contact with the Shire of Ashburton's Chief Executive Officer who has advised the Shire does not require assistance to develop land.
