(1) The City West crossover is currently being installed. The Public Transport Authority (PTA) has no other plans for new turnback or crossover facilities except for those related to the Forrestfield-Airport Link (FAL) and new Perth Stadium Projects.
(2) The new crossover being installed at City West is near the existing City West station. For the new Perth Stadium Transport Infrastructure Project, stowage yards are proposed at Victoria Park, the area around the old Belmont Park station and at East Perth, and a crossover is planned at Claisebrook. For the FAL Project, turnback and crossover facilities are planned at Forrestfield station and Bayswater Junction.
(3) The City West project is estimated at $8.345m.The estimated cost for the stowage tracks at Victoria Park is $15.8m, Belmont Park $71.6m and East Perth $8.0m. The crossover at Claisebrook has an estimated cost of $1.5m..
(4) City West will be completed by mid-2015. The works associated with the new Perth Stadium Project will be completed by late 2017 and relevant works with the FAL Project completed by early 2020.
(5) City West is the only new facility in the PTA's 2014-15 budget. Funding for the facilities associated with the new Perth Stadium and FAL Projects are in the respective project budgets.
