Why, when the
minister says that he is pulling every lever, has he not raised the need for
meaningful stamp duty reform?

Again, as I have
said, we do not know where the Liberal and National Parties stand. They want a
20% reduction across the board. That is around an estimated—how much?

Mr John Carey: It is $2 billion over the forward
estimates. Then we have their policy initiative. Now, is it a policy
announcement or not? Is it another thought bubble? Because that is all we see

Mr John Carey: The Liberal leader, in a debate he
lost, could not say why they would not set a social housing target. When he was
pushed, what was his answer? It was crickets. When he is actually put under the
test, he goes, "It's not a policy. It's a thought idea. It's something I
thought of yesterday. Now I'm saying it today!" That side is a joke—no
policy measures, no housing measures.
