LYNWOOD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL - STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS
I refer to my question of Tuesday, 14 August, in answer to which the minister advised that, during the month of July, the Department of Housing and Works received 11 reports from Lynwood Senior High School regarding leaks in various parts of the school. (1) How many reports of these or related problems and hazards were notified by the school to the Department of Education and Training itself during the month of July? (2) What is being done to address these problems at Lynwood Senior High School; and when will the problems be fixed? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

(1) On one occasion, on or about 31 July, the school principal notified the district director at the department’s Fremantle-Peel District Education Office of the problem. (2) The Department of Housing and Works has engaged roof plumbers to follow up on all roof leaks reported in July and to complete repairs to the affected areas.
