JERVOISE BAY PROJECT, EXPENDITURE
(1) What is the total amount of moneys spent so far by all state government agencies and departments in setting up the Jervoise Bay project? (2) Has Treasury been provided with information on the amount of federation funding spent on this project; and, if so, how much? (3) What further funding is required to complete all facets of this project, including the development of the industrial land? I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Since 1997, $9.1 million has been spent or committed on administration, planning, statutory approvals and environmental commitments. (2) Yes, Treasury has been provided with information on the amount of federation funding spent on this project. Currently, $34 million has been spent from the federation fund. (3) As at 8 March 2002, a further $63.4 million is required to complete the project development, including the industrial land. This amount is within the approved budget. (4) Yes, Treasury has been provided with information on the cost of realigning Cockburn Road around the Jervoise Bay facility. Main Roads has advised that the cost of realigning Cockburn Road was approximately $6.8 million.
