The Minister for Energy has provided the following response: (1) The Sustainable Energy Development Office promotes Green Power to all Western Australians through its website and e-newsletter. In May 2006, the website received over 33 000 visitors and there were over 5 500 subscribers to the e-newsletter. Synergy promotes NaturalPower to its 800 000 electricity account holders through a variety of channels including bill messages, bill envelope messages, its website and customer magazines. (2) The Sustainable Energy Development Office and Synergy promote Green Power and NaturalPower to all customers as part of their core activities to promote sustainable energy. Green Power actions are not separately itemised. (3) See response to question 1 above. (4) Synergy reports NaturalPower customer numbers and electricity sales as part of the Green Power program. Green Power sales for all participating states and retailers are reported each quarter and shown at the Green Power website.
