DEPARTMENT OF MINES, INDUSTRY REGULATION AND SAFETY
— NAME CHANGE
885. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please! Member for Swan Hills, we
do not need your opinion on all the questions.
Mr R.S. LOVE : I thank the Premier for that partial
answer. Can the Premier confirm that there are no other departmental
restructures occurring across his government, including in the Department of
Communities?

I thought I went into some detail
to explain to the honourable member that it was not a restructure. It is simply
a name change to reflect important work that has already been undertaken by
that department, and we have the energy transition summit tomorrow at which we
will talk about how to elevate that work even more to ensure that we prepare, plan and consult and take Western
Australia forward as part of the energy transition into the future . It
is great work. We are very proud of the work they do in the department, and I think
it is appropriate that we acknowledge that hard work.
