ROAD SAFETY — COMPULSORY BLOOD TESTING
250. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to the Attorney
General representing the Minister for Road Safety:
When will the promised laws
mandating the taking of blood samples from hospitalised road trauma victims be
finalised and introduced?

AnswerView source ↗

I provide the answer on behalf of
the Attorney General. The provisions requiring compulsory blood testing of
suspected drivers involved in a traffic crash that has resulted in death or
serious bodily harm are contained within the Road Traffic Legislation Amendment
Bill (No. 2) 2015. The bill was introduced into the Legislative Assembly on 11
November 2015.
