I refer the Premier to the Australian Labor Party election policy, “working for Burrup”, which states that Labor will construct the Tom Price to Karratha road in the first term of government. (1) How does the Premier reconcile this commitment with his announcement last month that the project is not even expected to commence until late 2005? (2) Will the Premier now admit that he attempted to mislead the people of the north west last month when he claimed to have fulfilled his election commitment?
