The primary reason for the Coroner's Court only sitting for 104 days in 2013/14 was the unavailability of coroners and counsel assisting due to a number of reasons including, a focus on completing outstanding inquests, the lengthy and complex Graylands inquest involving 11 cases and the previous State Coroner taking extended leave prior to his retirement in January 2014.
