I refer to the Minister's answer to Estimates pre-hearing questions in relation to cost escalations for various METRONET projects between last year's budget and the 2025-26 Budget, which stated "the escalation in these projects' budgets is due to unavoidable increases in labour, plant, equipment and materials driven by supply chain constraints", and the Minister's answer in question on notice 598 in relation to the New Midland Station project seeking a breakdown of the cost increases to explain the $177 million escalation, and I ask: (a) can the Minister provide the dollar amount split of the $177 million escalation attributable to the factors identified by the Minister below: (i) the finalisation of third-party infrastructure requirements and associated costs; (ii) market rates for steel and concrete increasing; and (iii) design rework?
