(a)(b)(c) Concerns about assessment procedures have been addressed on an ongoing basis. Unlike other jurisdictions, Western Australia required training to be conducted by a Registered Training Organisation. New audit procedures for assessors were introduced in June 2003 and new regulations relating to the operation of cranes were introduced in October 2003. For some time WorkSafe Western Australia have been requesting a review of the National Certificate of Competency Standard. A decision in this regard will be taken at the next NOHSC meeting on 19 March 2004.
