the Attorney General representing the Minister for Police:
I refer to the case of a 17-year-old
who was sentenced last week in relation to a hooning incident in Darch that led
to the injury of, and amputation to, bystander Taylah Parry.
(1) Can the Minister for Police
confirm that the offender was a prior offender?
(2) Can minister
confirm that prior to this incident, a warrant was due to be served in relation
to this individual?
(3) Can the minister advise why that
warrant had not been served?

to the provisions of the Young Offenders Act 1994, it is not appropriate to
provide any comment about the juvenile's previous offences, if any.
