I refer to the Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd (KCGM) operation owned by Barrick Gold and Newmont Mining, and I ask -
(1) Has the Department of Mines and Petroleum received any complaints from employees at KCGM concerning bullying and intimidating and victimising in the previous six months?
(2) If yes to (1), have these complaints been thoroughly investigated and has an appropriate outcome been achieved in which that person has been notified of, and satisfied with, that outcome?
(3) If no to (2), why not?

1. Yes.
2. Three complaints containing allegations of bullying were received in November 2009.
The complaints were thoroughly investigated. An appropriate outcome was achieved for two of the complaints and the persons concerned advised that they were satisfied with the outcome. However the third complaint can only be resolved after completion of a rehabilitation program as determined by medically qualified personnel.
3. Not Applicable
