(1-2) Please refer to the answer to Council question on notice 2188. In addition to the information provided in answer to that question, the Police Service advise that Maylands Police Station, a non-patrol station, was open 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday and is now open 8:30-12:30pm Tuesday and Thursday; the staff attached to Port Hedland Police Station were redeployed to South Hedland Police Station in 2002 where the station is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the front counter open for general enquiries from 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday; and the Hilton and Wickham Police Stations have been reopened in 2002 and 2004 respectively.
