I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Yes. The current reservation is about 40 metres wide and the extent to which the reservation will be reduced will be subject to a planning review. (2) Canning Highway is identified in the government’s Network city community planning strategy as an activity corridor. The Department for Planning and Infrastructure is progressing a number of studies that will assist government in refining the concept of an activity corridor and identifying any specific implications for Canning Highway. (3) No specific community consultation has been done on Canning Highway but widespread and comprehensive consultation occurred on the development of the government’s Network city community planning strategy. (4) A number of properties on Canning Highway have been purchased by government via the WA Planning Commission. Providing an exact number would require additional time to review the current ownership details.
