SCHOOL CANTEENS — DIETARY GUIDELINES
610. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the WA school food and
drink criteria . Can this document be tabled?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank
the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following has been
provided by the Minister for Health.
The WA school food and drink
criteria , which contains the ''How to Classify Food and Drinks Guide'',
provides guidance on which foods may be served within school canteens. It does
not extend to food and drink that students m ay
bring from home. Parents and guardians should take a commonsense approach,
considering dietary requirements and a balanced diet.
On behalf of the minister, I table
the document.
