Tier 3 rail lines—Recommissioning study
639. Hon Steve Martin to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the
minister's media release dated 25 May 2023 in relation to the study on the
recommissioning of sections of the tier 3 freight rail lines in Western
Australia's Wheatbelt region.
(1) When was the study
completed, and for how long has the government been considering the results of
the completed but unreleased study?
(2) What was the total cost to taxpayers to
produce the study?
(3) Noting that the media release says the study
will be funded through a $72 million allocation from the agricultural supply
chain improvement program, how much of the $72 million figure remains unspent
to date?
(4) Will the minister table a copy of the
completed study?
