2. FESA advise the minimum crewing level for each of the four platoons on Perth Fire Station is now 16 staff. Also, currently attached to each Platoon is a pool of relief staff to provide scheduled and non scheduled leave to firefighters within the metropolitan area. 3. A new metropolitan career fire station in Hope Valley will soon commence construction and is scheduled for commissioning in the second quarter of 2005. This will increase the number of firefighters on duty in the Perth metropolitan area by an additional four firefighters.
