I refer to the answer to my question on notice No. 5618 regarding the use of 4,357,578 litres of water for the hydraulic fracturing operations at Warro-3 in January-March 2009, and the subsequent licencing of water use for the Warro field on 23 August 2010, and I ask —
(1) Was any water licence required for the use of this water for the Warro-3 hydraulic fracturing activities?
(2) If yes to (1) –
(a) had this licence been granted prior to hydraulic fracturing being undertaken;
(b) how much water was licenced;
(c) where was that water sourced from;
(d) were any conditions applied to the licence;
(e) was metering required;
(f) when was the licence application received; and
(g) when was the licence application approved?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
(4) If a water licence was required, but not granted, what actions should now be taken?
