The Minister for Police and Emergency Services has provided the following response - The Western Australia Police Service advised that figures for the Shire of Mullewa are not readily available. Accordingly, the following figures relate to the Mullewa police subdistrict that covers the Shire of Mullewa and the Shire of Murchison. (1) The Police Service advised that the number of reported vandalism and burglary offences for the Mullewa police subdistrict between April and September 2003 were graffiti - 5; property damage - 65; burglary, residential - 11; burglary, other - 37. (2) The Minister for Police and Emergency Services is seeking further advice on this and will advise the member in writing, unless he wishes to put the question on notice.
