MR CLIVE BROWN - REGISTER OF LOBBYISTS
I refer to revelations following a question in the Legislative Council that former Labor state development minister Clive Brown is working as a paid representative of the Geraldton Iron Ore Alliance and a paid consultant to mining company Portman Ltd, and the fact that he has not been included on the Premier’s register of lobbyists. (1) Why is Mr Brown not on the Premier’s register of lobbyists? (2) Will the Premier provide a list of all ministers who have met with Mr Brown where business dealings for these companies were discussed? (3) What action will the Premier be taking against ministers who have broken his rules and met with a lobbyist who is not on his register? Mr A.J. CARPENTER

I thank the member for the question. Welcome back; I hope the Leader of the Opposition had a good day yesterday. It was interesting in his absence. (1)-(3) My understanding is that Mr Brown is directly employed by the companies and is not a lobbyist.
