I refer to question on notice No. 566 of March 20 2003 and answers provided -
(1) Given the Minister has stated ‘Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines(KCGM) Pty Ltd provided information relating to the road’s construction to the Department as a courtesy only’ can the Minister indicate the specific date on which this information was received by department’?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) Can the Minister state whether a map was provided indicating the roads position with the information provided relating to the road’s construction?
(4) If no to (3), why not?
(5) If yes to (3), will the Minister table a copy of the map?
(6) Can the Minister quote the specific full text of the letter received from KCGM Pty Ltd which according to the department provided information relating to the road’s construction as a courtesy only?

I am advised:
(1) Yes. The relevant letter from Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd (KCGM) was received by the department on 17 September 2001.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) KCGM’s letter was accompanied by a map indicating the proposed route of the access road.
(4) Not applicable.
(5) Yes, see copy of plan attached. See tabled paper.
(6) Yes. The full text of KCGM’s letter reads as follows:
'Proposed Hall of Fame Access Road
As discussed today, attached is a plan of the proposed new Hall of Fame access road for your information.
Construction work is scheduled to begin tomorrow, Tuesday 18th September
2001.
