I refer to the recent political appointment of Stephanie Mayman, former secretary of UnionsWA, to the $203 000-a-year job as an industrial commissioner in the occupational health and safety jurisdiction. (1) Has the minister discussed this blatantly political appointment with representatives of the very concerned small business sector? (2) If so, what has the minister done to address the sector’s concerns? (3) What commitment will the minister give to the small business sector to ensure that the new occupational health and safety regime will not impact adversely on the operation of its businesses? Mr J.B. D’ORAZIO

I suggest that the member check his facts. That question should be directed to another minister and not to me. When the member gets it right, he will get the appropriate answer.
