I refer to Western Australia's pork industry, and I ask: (a) can the Minister please provide the House with an update on the pork industry's progress to ban sow stalls; (b) how many piggeries have complied with the industry's policy to ban the use of sow stalls; and (c) what is the prevalence of farrowing crates in the Western Australian industry?

a) Australian Pork Limited (APL) is a producer owned organisation, who committed to a voluntary phase-out of the use of sow stalls by 2017.
(b – c) RSPCA WA reports that a 2019/20 industry survey reported that 91 percent of production used completely gestation stall free systems.
