I refer to the Premier’s recent announcement concerning a reduction in the number of government cars. In relation to the allocation of vehicles and car bays to staff in the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office, I ask:
(1) As at 13 May 2009 what is the total complement of staff within the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office?
(2) As at 13 May 2009 how many government cars are provided to staff within the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office?
(3) As at 13 May 2009 how many car bays are allocated to the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office for the parking of these government-provided cars?
(4) As at 13 May 2009 how many car bays are allocated to the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office for staff who are not provided with government-provided vehicles?
(5) As at 13 May 2009 how many staff on secondment to the Attorney General’s ministerial office from a public sector agency have a car bay provided to them?
(6) Of the government vehicles allocated to staff in the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office, how many kilometres has each vehicle travelled since 23 September 2008 (or the closest possible date when a record of mileage was taken)?
(7) Since 23 September 2008, has a car bay allocated to the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office been used for more than one day to park a vehicle other than one owned or provided to a Ministerial Officer?
(8) Since 23 September 2008, has a car bay allocated to the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office been used for any period of time by a family member of the Attorney General and;
(a) if yes, for what period of time was the car bay used by a family member?
(9) How many car bays for staff on secondment are paid for through the Ministerial Office?
(10) How many car bays for staff on secondment are paid for by the employing public sector agency?
(11) What is the total cost of parking for Ministerial staff paid for by the Ministerial Office since 23 September 2008?
(12) What is the total cost of parking for seconded Ministerial Staff paid for by the employing public sector agency since 23 September 2008?

(a) There have been several occasions. The Minister's wife, who also works in the CBD, has driven the Minister to and/or from the Ministerial Office and occasions have arisen when the Minister's wife's car has been parked in the Minister's bay. The Minister has not kept a log of the occasions he has been driven to work by his wife.
