With regard to the Office of the Contaminated Sites Committee, I ask: (a) what is the level of remuneration paid to the Chairman and is the position fulltime; (b) what level of remuneration is paid to board members; (c) since 1 July 2012 how many times have senior staff travelled for business purposes, to where and at what cost; (d) has any member of the Committee travelled on Committee business this financial year, and if so, who, to where, for what purpose and at what cost; and (e) has the Minister met with the Committee, and/or its Chairperson, and when and for what purpose?

(a) The Chairperson is paid $69 822 per annum. The position is part-time (approximately two days per week, as required).
(b) Members of the Contaminated Sites Committee are paid $714 per meeting.
(c) Nil
(d) No
(e) Yes, the Minister for Environment, Hon Albert Jacob MLA, has met with the Chairperson twice. The Minister has not yet met with the Members, but intends to do so.
