The two special tourism leases are issued under Part 6, section 79, of the Land Administration Act 1997. Both leases include standard conditions which require the lessee to comply with all laws, including environmental law.
Section 108 is found in Part 7 of the Land Administration Act 1997 and relates to pastoral leases, which is why this section is not applicable to leases issued under Section 79.
