(1) I refer to the decision by the Department to cease the Aboriginal Justice Program Open Days and ask: (a) why has the Department decided not to continue with the Open Days; (b) how many Open Days have been held; (c) in which locations have Open Days been held; (d) what is the total amount spent on Open Days; (e) what is the total amount that was allocated to be spent on Open Days; (f) how much has been allocated to the Remote Outreach Licensing Project in each of 2013–2014, 2014–2015 and 2015–2016; (g) what locations have been visited by the Remote Outreach Licensing Project so far; and (h) what are the proposed locations to be visited by the Remote Outreach Licencing Project in the 2013–2014 financial year? (2) In respect of the memorandum from Bob Taddeo, Director, Policy and Aboriginal Services, where he states " Investing into the Goldfields community through Royalties for Regions by providing targeted motor driver licensing services for Aboriginal people in the justice system which has been funded at the start of this financial year ", I ask: (a) what specific services have been funded by Royalties for Regions into the Goldfields community for targeted motor driver licensing services for Aboriginal people this financial year; (b) how much has been allocated from Royalties for Regions for these services this financial year; and (c) how much has been allocated from Royalties for Regions for these services in each of 2014–2015 and 2015–2016?

(2) (a) Royalties for Regions, through the Aboriginal Justice Program (AJP), is grant funding the Kalgoorlie Aboriginal Driver Program for 12 months. This grant funding is specifically for Aboriginal people in the justice system.
The agreement term is 1 June 2013 - 31 May 2014.
The grant agreement states the following services will be provided:
· Practical assistance for addressing personal governance issues including personal identity documents, tax file number, bank account details and workable postal address;
· Preparation and arranging for Learner's Permit theory test;
· Practical driving instruction by qualified driving instructors ;
· Assisting participants to undertake Department of Transport practical driving assessment;
· Supervision of driving to satisfy log book hours required for a provisional driver's licence;
· Assisting with hazard perception test and application for Motor Drivers Licence;
· Providing education and awareness of legal requirements and personal responsibilities for maintaining MDLs and vehicle registrations;
· Delivery of education workshops to promote road safety awareness;
· Assisting with resolving suspensions of MDLs through negotiations with the local Sheriff or Fines Enforcement Registry; and
· Coordination of training of one (1) local community member to become a qualified driving instructor.
Additional funding is provided by the Department of Transport in the Goldfields through Royalties for Regions funding and I refer you to the Minister for Transport.

(c) Funding has been provided on a one year pilot basis. If the pilot is a success similar funding will be allocated for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016
