I refer to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to be held in Perth in October, and I ask:
(a) which not-for-profit organisations in the Central Business District (CBD) have been contacted to arrange accommodation and/or assistance for homeless people in the CBD;
(b) when were the not-for-profit organisations contacted; and
(c) how were the organisations contacted; and
(i) if it was in writing, will the Minister table those documents?

(a) All those services which currently provide assistance to people sleeping rough in the inner city have been contracted to provide support and/or assistance for homeless people that may be affected by CHOGM.
This work is being provided by the eight not-for-profit service providers currently providing the Street to Home program.
The Street to Home service providers are: UnitingCare West, Ruah Community Services, 55Central, Foundation Housing, St Bartholomew's House, St Patrick's Community Support Centre/ The Sisters' Place and The Salvation Army WA.
These service providers are liaising with other existing Homelessness service providers to ensure that the needs of homeless people are met during CHOGM.
The
Q&A Fact Sheet on CHOGM and the Homeless
, provided on the Department for Child Protection website, provides further detail of services provided for the homeless before, during and after CHOGM.
(b) The not-for-profit organisations attended an initial meeting in April, and the Department continues to meet the eight service providers on a regular basis.
(c) As above
