I have a supplementary question. Given that I do not have a copy of the petition and have not seen it, if it is not in the correct format to be tabled as a petition in this house, will the minister undertake to table it as a document by the close of business today? Ms S.M. McHALE

That response from the Leader of the Opposition is incredible because the opposition has been quoting from the petition throughout this week. I will do more than that. I will take account of the concerns of the staff at the meeting, the first meeting that a minister has been prepared to attend. Ministers in previous governments were cowardly enough to not even respond to such requests. They were cowardly. I will do more than that. Several members interjected. The SPEAKER : Order! Ms S.M. McHALE : Members opposite should ask one of their members in the upper house for a copy of the petition. I will take the concerns of my staff to the expenditure review committee and we will continue to resource the department to meet its needs.
