TAFE — REFORMS
887. Mr F.M. LOGAN to the Minister for
Training and Workforce Development:
I have a supplementary question. Is the minister aware that seven
months after the launch of the five new TAFE administration centres, phone
connections across colleges are still duplicated, email systems do not talk to
each other and payroll systems are dysfunctional; and, if so, what is the
minister doing about it?

This is like a dorothy dixer .
The member for Cockburn has articulated exactly why we needed to move from 11 administrative
structures down to five! Students would go from one college to another, to
another and we could not keep track of their records. We could not keep track
of the systems.
Several members interjected.
Mrs L.M. HARVEY : The TAFEs could not tell me whether they
were making money or losing money.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Sit down, please!
Mr F.M. Logan interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Cockburn, I call you to order for the first time.
