I am advised:
(a) Due to the complex nature of classifying mental health conditions and treatments, there is no standard definition used to identify long stay mental health inpatients.
(b) The following information is defined as all patients currently admitted in a specialised mental health ward as at 30 July 2021.
(i) 1 to 30 days is 473
31 to 60 days is 88
61 to 90 days is 34
91 to 120 days is 23
121 to 150 days is 19
151 to 180 days is 13
(ii)  between 6 – 12 months is 28 patients.
(iii)  between 1 – 2 years is 22 patients.
(iv)  longer than 2 years is 52 patients.
