The Report on Consultants Engaged by Government for the six months to 31 December 2023 confirms that the Department of Education paid five individuals a total of $314,862 for an independent review of the WA university sector? Can the Minister advise: (a) The process by which these five individuals were selected; (b) How was the final decision on the composition of the group made; (c) Who made this decision; (d) Was a report and or advice provided to Government; (e) If so, when, to who and can it be tabled: (i) If not, why not; (f) What was the consultation process undertaken; (g) Did the group meet with each of the universities in WA; (h) How many times and when for each university; (i) Did the group meet with the Government throughout the process: (i) If so, how many times and with whom; (j) Were draft findings of the group shared with individual universities for comment and input before finalisation: (i) If so, with which ones and when; and (ii) If not, why not; (k) What were the findings of the group ; (l) Have they been communicated to universities; (m) How was this done; (n) What has been the response from each university ; (o) What are the benefits to the State of recommendations made in the review; (p) What are the challenges the State will face in the implementation of the recommendations; (q) Do the recommendations have cost and time considerations: (i) If so, what are they; (r) Have the findings of the review been shared with entities outside of the State Government and WA universities: (i) If so, who, when and for what purpose; and (s) Does the Government accept the recommendations of the review: (i) If so, what is the implementation process; and (ii) If not, why not?
