SEWERAGE SCHEMES - SMALL COUNTRY TOWNS
I have a supplementary question. The minister told a meeting of my constituents that the review would be ready by August. Can the minister provide a date, because my constituents are waiting to hear the results that were promised? Mr J.C. KOBELKE

I appreciate that this is a very big issue for a number of small towns. The member is quite rightly advocating on behalf of his constituents and other small towns outside his electorate. There are a range of difficulties, but it needs to go on the record that only this government has embarked on a scheme to try to provide sewerage to small towns. The last government did nothing; it did absolutely nothing. There was some talk, but not one dollar was put towards sewerage for small country towns. This government started the program on the basis of finding a way of doing it at a reasonable cost. The member is well aware that many things are driving the program, and the government is looking at ways to find the funding and the efficiencies to try to deal with these issues in small rural towns.
