870. Hon DIANE EVERS to the Minister for Environment:
(1) Has the
Forest Products Commission and/or the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation
and Attractions conducted a review or similar inquiry of compliance with
silvicultural prescriptions in the past 24 months?
(2) If yes to
(1), was the review part of the process of preparing for the mid-term
performance review of the ''Forest management plan 2014–2023''?
(3) If yes to (2), why was
information about the review not included in the draft review report?
(4) If yes to
(1), will the minister please table the reports and any other data and
information developed as part of the reviews; and, if not, why not?

Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions has undertaken
silvicultural compliance activities. Questions relating to the compliance
activities of the Forest Products Commission should be directed to the Minister
for Forestry.
(2) Yes.
(3)–(4) The
''Forest management plan 2014–2023'' draft mid-term
performance review includes reporting against key performance indicator 17—silvicultural
outcomes for the area cutover—which is drawn from ongoing monitoring
undertaken by DBCA.
