Hon Steve Martin questions the Minister for Transport regarding road maintenance programs in the Kimberley region, specifically the significant funding difference for resealing between 2023-24 and 2024-25. The Minister explains the funding difference is due to extensive resealing in 2023-24 reducing the need in 2024-25.

I refer to the delivery of road maintenance programs by Main Roads as outlined in the 2024 and 2025 annual reports, and I ask: (a) in relation to the Kimberley Region: (i) how many kilometres of road were worked on as part of the $23.9 million expenditure on delivery of road maintenance in 2023-24; (ii) how many kilometres of road were worked on as part of the $20.5 million expenditure on delivery of road maintenance in 2024-25; (iii) how many kilometres of road were resealed as part of the $15.6 million expenditure on the region's resurfacing program in 2023-24; (iv) how many kilometres of road were resealed as part of the $3.1 million expenditure on the region's resurfacing program in 2024-25; and (v) can the Minister explain the reasons for the significant difference in funding allocated to the reseal program between the two years, with $15.6 million in 2023-24 reducing to $3.1 million in 2024-25?
