b) It is an objective of the Gallop Government to increase the openness of government and promote active citizenship by encouraging best practice community consultation processes. A Citizens and Civics Unit has been established to work towards this aim. The Department for Planning and Infrastructure has taken a leadership role implementing innovative best practice consultation processes. These have involved Citizens' Juries, Consensus Forums, Deliberative Surveys and Multi Criteria Analysis Conferences. As best practice methodologies are piloted and improved, they are being integrated into the planning process, reforming through gradual, continuous improvement. c) Yes d) See b) above
