WA AMBULANCE STANDING COMMITTEE — MEETINGS
1320. Hon ADELE FARINA to the minister
representing the Minister for Health:
(1) Did the WA
Ambulance Standing Committee meet on 26 October 2016, and what was the outcome
of the meeting?
(2) Will the
minister table the minutes of the meeting; and, if not, why not?
(3) Will the
minister table the minutes of the regular contact and operational meetings
between the Department of Health and St John Ambulance; and, if not, why not?
(4) In the two
years before 26 October 2016, how many times did the WA Ambulance Standing
Committee meet?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question. The Minister for Health has provided the following response —
(1) The WA
Ambulance Standing Committee met on 26 October 2016 and there were a number of
outcomes and actions relating to the committee's terms of reference:
ambulance ramping, the independent oversight panel report and paramedic
registration.
(2)–(3) These
documents are used for operational purposes by the Department of Health. If the
member has a specific query relating to a meeting, the minister would be happy
to respond to this query.
(4) The WA
Ambulance Standing Committee met three times.
