(a) The staff had different duties and the trips complied with relevant Government policy. The Director of The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA), C Walker met with counterparts in a range of major Japanese Art Museums. AGWA Exhibitions and Projects Manager, N Hewlett was in Japan due to her technical expertise in the requirements of building and exhibition design.
(b) C Walker returned to Perth, having conducted the business necessary, and N Hewlett undertook additional business travel.
(c) N Hewlett visited Naoshima Island and Osaka as part of additional business travel. The focus of the visit included the installation processes of major scale sculptures, the Chichu Art Museum, and the activation of Osaka Castle and its gardens.
