COMMUNITY
CHILD HEALTH SERVICES
961. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the May 2012 announcement of $58.5 million over
four years to implement the expansion of community child health services across
WA through the not-for-profit sector.
(1) If only
$2.02 million of the $9.11 million has been spent this financial year, will the
remaining money be spent this financial year?
(2) Does the time frame to spend the $58.5 million within
four years still stand?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) The budget
allocation for statewide services in 2012–13 was $9.11 million. The
child and adolescent health service portion of this funding was $5.464 million,
of which $3.354 million was spent. Remaining CAHS funding from 2012–13
was not carried forward into the 2013–14 financial year. The WA Country
Health Service was allocated $3.6 million. This amount was spent in the 2012–13
financial year.
(2) Yes.
The PRESIDENT : I can see that Hon Adele Farina is very
keen to get a question in, so I give her the call.
Hon ADELE FARINA : Thank you, Mr President.
