Ferry terminal—Matilda Bay, Nedlands
1193. Hon Michelle Hofmann to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to reports
by the Public Transport Authority dated 4 and 26 September 2025 and entitled
"Ferry Expansion Project: Matilda Bay" and "Ferry Expansion
Project: Perth to Applecross" respectively.
(1) Why do these
reports evaluate only two sites when the original tender for preliminary site
investigations awarded to GHD Pty Ltd on 5 May stated that it would include
completion of preliminary site investigations and 12 months of water quality
monitoring in the Swan River for six potential ferry terminal locations?
(2) With regard to the other four potential sites
not included in the PTA analysis, can the minister list these sites and advise whether
any analysis was undertaken in relation to them?
(3) If analysis was undertaken for these sites,
will the minister please table the PTA's or relevant organisation's analysis?
(4) If no to (3), why not?
