Minister for Housing:
I refer to the Housing Our Workers initiative funded by
royalties for regions.
(1) How many housing
units have been built, or are planned to be built, under this program in each
of the south west and great southern regions?
(2) Where are
these housing units located?
(3) How many
additional social housing units is the government planning to build or acquire
in the Margaret River zone and Augusta zone in each of 2013–14, 2014–15,
2015–16 and 2016–17?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question. The Department of Housing advises —
(1) In the
south west, 15 units have been built, and in the great southern, 37 units have
been built. Units were completed for 2013–14; 2014–15 onwards
is yet to be finalised.
(2) In the
great southern: Albany, five; Cranbrook, four; Dumbleyung, one; Gnowangerup,
one; Katanning, six; Kojonup, four; Kukerin, one; Lake Grace, two; Mount
Barker, 10; Pingrup, two; and Tambellup, one, for a subtotal of 37. In the
south west: Augusta, one; Boyup Brook, two; Bridgetown, one; Busselton, one;
Harvey, three; Manjimup, four; Northcliffe, one; and Walpole, two, for a
subtotal of 15.
(3) In the
Margaret River zone: 2013–14, one housing unit; 2014–15, three
housing units; 2015–16, nil; and 2016–17, nil. In the Augusta
zone: 2013–14, nil; 2014–15, nil; 2015–16, nil; and
2016–17, nil.
