I refer to the ACIL Allen Perth Park Business Case Summary, and I ask: (a) which national and international motorsport regulatory bodies are required to assess and approve the design of the proposed street circuit, including any FIA-mandated safety, engineering and homologation requirements; and (b) what is the formal process for obtaining final circuit design approval, including homologation, from each of the required motorsport regulatory authorities?

(a)         The FIA and Motorsport Australia are the governing bodies responsible for assessing and approving the circuit design in line with international standards. Supercars, as the category authority, confirms that the circuit meets all category specific safety, operational and broadcast requirements.
(b)        Approval is achieved through a series of FIA and Motorsport Australia design reviews, followed by pre-event inspections. The FIA may issue homologation, while Motorsport Australia finalises circuit approval and the event permit once all conditions are met.
