CORONAVIRUS
— MANDATORY VACCINATION
1140. Hon Dr BRIAN WALKER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Education:
I refer the minister to the HealthyWA website, which states
that WA's mandatory vaccination policy no longer applies, though
individual employers may require their employees to be vaccinated.
(1) Do any of
our state universities still require their students to show proof of
vaccination before they are permitted to enrol in courses?
(2) If yes to
(1), can the minister please provide a breakdown by university, course and
reason for the retention of the requirement?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
The Department of Education's strategy and policy
division has advised that more time will be needed to answer this question. If
I can insert myself into the answer, we do not run universities, so someone has
to check. A response will be provided on or by 10 October 2023.
