For each Department and Agency within the Attorney General’s portfolios:
(a) as at 9 March 2010 how many vehicles are allocated to the department or agency;
(b) what washing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(c) if any vehicle is commercially cleaned since 23 September 2008 please provide:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) advise whether vehicles are cleaned during office hours;
(d) what detailing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(e) if any vehicle is commercially detailed since 23 September 2008 please provide:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;

Corruption and Crime Commission of Western Australia

(b) The Commission vehicles are the responsibility of the custodians / drivers of the vehicles. A mixture of custodian and commercial cleaning is involved.
(c) No cost breakdown by the fleet provider is available. Commercial cleaning for Commission vehicles mean those vehicles that are cleaned as part of a drive thru system at the relevant Fuel station.
(d) No vehicles have been detailed by the Commission.

(b) The Commissioner of Corrective Services issued a directive in January 2009 that the cleaning and washing of department vehicles is the responsibility of the officer allocated the vehicle. Commercial cleaning and detailing was not to be paid for by the department except in extenuating circumstances such as regional travel or heavy soiling by clients.

(c) (i) This level of detail is not recorded by the Government's Fleet Manager. The total cost was $30, 082.
(ii) Monthly and/or as requested in the case of the Judiciary and Salaries and Allowance Tribunal officers who access commercial cleaning.
(iii) Court and office locations or contractors premises.
