I refer to the South West Community Drug Services team, and ask -
(1) For each 2008 and 2009, how many children and adolescents living in the South West region were identified by South West Community Services Team, to be suffering from substance abuse?
(2) For each 2008 and 2009, how many of the children and adolescents identified in (1) were, -
(a) six years or younger;
(b) seven to 12 years;
(c) 13 to 18 years; and
(d) 19 to 24 years?
(3) In relation to (2), and for each of the subcategories, -
(a) what treatment was provided to the children and adolescents for the substance abuse;
(b) who provided the treatment; and
(c) how many of the children and adolescents were also identified as suffering from mental illness?
(4) For each of 2008 and 2009, how many of the children and adolescents identified in (3), were diagnosed as having severe symptoms of mental illness?
(5) For each of 2008 and 2009, how many children and adolescents identified in (4), were admitted for treatment to South West Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (SW CAMHS)?
(6) For each 2008 and 2009, how many of the children and adolescents identified in (5), were diagnosed as having mild to moderate symptoms of mental illness?
(7) For each of 2008 and 2009, how many children and adolescents identified in (6) were admitted for treatment to SW CAMHS?
(8) For each of 2008 and 2009, of the children and adolescents identified in (6), and not admitted to SW CAMHS, -
(a) what treatment was provided for these children and adolescents; and
(b) who provided the treatment?
(9) What specialist training do people working at the South West Community Drug Services Team have to identify symptoms of, -
(a) substance abuse; and
(b) mental illness?
(10) Who undertakes the diagnoses of children and adolescents presenting with symptoms of substance abuse and mental illness at the South West Community Drug Services Team?
(11) In relation to the South West Community Drug Services Team, please state, -
(a) the number and location of its offices/clinics as at 1 October 2010; and
(b) the number of FTEs at each office/clinic as at, -
(i) 1 October 2008;
(ii) 1 October 2009; and
(iii) 1 October 2010?
(12) In relation to(11)(b), and for each of the dates specified, -
(a) the position title and qualifications of each person employed at each office/clinic; and
(b) the number of assessments undertaken at each office/clinic in each of, -
(i) 2008;
(ii) 2009; and
(iii) 2010?
