1367. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the minister representing the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the strips of forest known as temporary exclusion
areas—TEAS—left between gaps of logged jarrah forest.
(1) What is the minimum number of years, after the gaps are
created, that the TEAS can be logged?
(2) What is the preferred number of years, after the gaps are
created, that the TEAS can be logged?

A minimum of 10 years is required between gap creation, regeneration release,
in an area left as TEAS where it is adjacent to an area previously cut to gap
creation, regeneration release.
