I refer to the ‘Putting the Public First’ Economic Audit Committee report of October 2009, and in particular to recommendation 12 which was to, -
‘Negotiate with the community sector a set of principles to facilitate the government/community sector partnership in delivering human services in order to -
(a) build trust;
(b) foster collaboration;
(c) drive social innovation; and
(d) ensure sustainable service delivery’,
and ask -
(1) Which of the following milestones contained in recommendation 12 have been achieved, -
(a) replace existing committees and forums, including the Human Services Industry Roundtable, with a Partnership Forum with an independent chair, and equal numbers of community leaders and Directors General, supported by a small central secretariat (an Office of Community Partnership), reporting to the Premier (January 2010);
(b) agree principles to govern the partnership between government and the community sector (June 2010); and
(c) develop a ‘Collaboration for Community’ Policy to govern the contractual relationships between government and the community sector (see Recommendation 13) (September 2010)?
(2) If any of the above milestones contained in recommendation 12 have not been achieved, why not?
