With reference to all applications for exemptions lodged under the
Mining Act 1978
with the Department for Mines and Petroleum within the last 12 months, will the Minister advise the total financial amount of exemptions applied for, and granted for each of the specific tenements, which have had exemptions refused:
(a) the specific tenement number;
(b) the reasons why the exemption was refused; and
(c) the outcome, including the amount of a fine, if any, or possible forfeiture?

(b) Applications for exemption are refused when they do not provide sufficient information to support the granting of exemption for a reason set out in section 102(2) or 102(3) of the Mining Act 1978 . (c) Refer to answer (a)
